Pricing & packaging

Enterprise capability. Not the enterprise price.

The whole procurement system, one licence — a fraction of a six-figure suite, live in days to weeks rather than a year. No per-seat meter, no module upsell, no twelve-month implementation bill before you see value.

For less than the annual salary of one junior buyer — the whole team, the whole cycle.

Backbone Atlas — the whole procurement system in one licence
The price, in plain figures

One licence. Plain numbers. No sales games.

One annual licence includes everything — no modules to unlock, no per-seat meter:

The only additions: a one-time implementation and, if you need it, data migration. Here it is in full, in US dollars.

Annual licence
$60,000USD / year

One flat price for the term. At renewal, fees may rise in line with standard SaaS practice, with at least 90 days’ written notice — and if you do not accept an increase, you may end the agreement at the renewal date.

Implementation
$10,000USD · once

A single flat setup fee — the same figure whatever the size of your organisation.

These are our standard figures — not a wall. Tell us your budget and what you need, and we will find a package that fits. We would rather build a long relationship at a workable number than lose a good organisation over list price.

Why it won't cost an arm and a leg

Serious procurement, without the six-figure ticket.

The big suites run the whole cycle too — for a Fortune-500 budget and a year of consultants. Backbone gives a mid-market company or a lean public body the same reach, priced to be owned.

One licence, the whole system

Sourcing, contracts, suppliers, spend analysis, the portal — all of it included. Nothing is a paid-extra module you discover you need later.

No per-seat surprises

You licence the system, not the headcount. Your whole team uses it — and every one of your suppliers uses the portal — at no per-user cost.

A fraction of an enterprise suite

Enterprise-grade capability, priced for the mid-market and public sector — not for a Fortune-500 IT budget. You're not funding a sales army.

No six-figure implementation

Live in days to weeks, not a year. There's no consultancy meter running for twelve months before the system does anything for you.

Your regional edition, included

Canada, the US, the UK, the EU, the GCC or Australia — the regional edition is part of the licence, not a premium tier you unlock. Atlas is hosted in Canada; a dedicated instance in your own region is quoted with your order.

Updates and support included

Improvements and fixes land in your instance as part of the licence. No surprise charges for staying current, and a support desk built into the product.

Standard · in every licence

One licence. The whole system.

There's no module-by-module price list and no per-seat tier. Everything below is included in every Backbone licence, in every region — the complete platform, out of the box.

Tailored · shaped to you

Configured to your organisation — not rebuilt for it.

Most of what makes Backbone "yours" is configuration, done during a standard implementation at no extra cost. A few things are genuine add-ons, scoped and quoted only if you want them.

Configured at setup

Included in your implementation

Part of standing the system up. No custom development — this is configuration, and it's covered.

  • Your organisation, users, roles and departments
  • Your approval thresholds and delegation-of-authority matrix
  • Your region edition, chosen at setup — Canada, the US, the UK, the EU, the GCC or Australia
  • Public or private-sector mode
  • Your category structure and commodity-taxonomy scope
  • Standard document templates branded to your organisation
  • SSO connected to your identity provider
  • Which finance system the feeds target, and the feed schedule
  • Your logo and name across the buyer app and supplier portal
  • Hosted in Canada, or your region on request — your call

All of this is part of a standard implementation — configured, not custom-built.

Optional add-ons

When you want more

Genuine extras beyond the platform. Each is scoped and quoted separately, only if you ask for it.

  • The AI assistant — off by default; enable it with your own key when you're ready
  • Bespoke document and clause libraries beyond the standard templates
  • Custom reports or dashboards beyond the built-in executive lenses
  • A built-to-spec finance connector for a ledger outside the eleven already built — QuickBooks Online, Xero, Business Central and Sage Accounting, proven against live ledgers today; NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Sage 300, Sage X3, BILL, Oracle Fusion and SAP S/4HANA, each proven against your own ledger during onboarding
  • Translation into other languages, on request
  • Data migration from a legacy system
  • Custom workflow rules beyond what configuration covers
  • Extended support hours beyond the business-hours desk

Nothing here is needed to run Backbone fully — they're there if your situation calls for them.

Deployment

Same system, your choice of home.

Neither option changes what you get — only where it runs and who keeps it running.

Hosted

We run it for you

A dedicated instance — in Canada today, or your region on request — kept running, backed up and secured by us. Nothing for your team to maintain.

  • Live in days to weeks, not months
  • Continuous backups, off-site every few minutes, & updates
  • HTTPS, monitoring and patching included
Cloud hosting in Canada or your region

Same platform, deployed to your region

The system runs in Canada today, and a dedicated instance is stood up in your region's data centre — the US, the UK, the EU, the GCC or Australia — when you sign. Data stays in-region, with no separate deployment ops and no licence complication.

  • Data residency & compliance
  • Continuous backups, off-site every few minutes, & updates
  • Built-in for regulated & public-sector buyers

Every region runs the same product, with the same 99.5% monthly availability commitment backed by service credits, and the same support. A dedicated in-region instance is quoted with your order — we'll run through the details with you.
